CST Pulse is an iOS application by Cook Strait Technology that lets administrators monitor their Cato Networks tenants. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes. The short version: we collect nothing. CST Pulse has no servers, no analytics, and no tracking. Your data stays on your device or travels directly between your device and Cato Networks.
None. Cook Strait Technology does not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data from CST Pulse. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks, and it never communicates with any server operated by us.
To function, CST Pulse stores the following locally on your iPhone only:
Your Cato API keys, which are stored in the iOS Keychain, Apple's encrypted credential store. Tenant configuration (account IDs, names, and regions), notification preferences, and cached site/link status used to detect changes for alerts are stored in the app's local storage. Deleting the app deletes all of this data. None of it is transmitted to Cook Strait Technology.
CST Pulse communicates directly and exclusively with the Cato Networks API (api.catonetworks.com or its regional equivalents) over HTTPS, using the API key you provide. These requests retrieve the monitoring data shown in the app: site and link status, and connected SDP user information (such as names, device names, IP addresses, ISP, and connection details) that your Cato tenant already holds. This data is displayed on your device and is not sent anywhere else. Your use of the Cato API is governed by Cato Networks' own terms and privacy policy.
CST Pulse alerts are local notifications generated entirely on your device: the app periodically checks your tenants in the background, compares the results to its locally stored state, and posts a notification when something you opted into has changed. No push-notification service or third-party server is involved.
CST Pulse Pro subscriptions and promo-code redemptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Cook Strait Technology never sees your payment details. Apple's handling of that information is described in Apple's privacy policy. The app checks your subscription entitlement locally via Apple's StoreKit framework.
CST Pulse is a professional network-administration tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
If a future version of CST Pulse changes how data is handled — for example, an optional server-based push notification service — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change.
